Forager Forever was created because learning about wild food is often harder than it should be.

When I looked through plant and foraging forums, I kept seeing the same pattern: people shared photos and names, but rarely shared where or when they found the plant. That made the whole process feel much less approachable for beginners, as practical details were always missing or locked behind a massive paywall.

I made this app because I wanted foraging to be more accessible to learn, easier to practice, and more rewarding. Instead of leaving discoveries scattered across many discussion threads, Forager Forever gives people a way to share plant locations, record when plants are found, add details that make entries more helpful, and take part in community verification.

The idea was to make learning feel more active, social and motivating, so that finding, sharing, and confirming plants becomes part of the experience rather than something hidden in separate conversations.

Start on the map and move to the area you want to explore. Refresh the visible area to load the points inside the current map bounds. You can use the search box and status filter to narrow the results.

Select a point or a location from the side list to view the plant details, photo, dates, user finds, and any reports tied to that spot. This makes it easier to judge whether a place is worth visiting.

When you find something in person, sign in and log it with a photo and your device location. You can add a brand new plant location or confirm an existing one that is already on the map.

Over time, your profile tracks discoveries, verifications, and recent finds, so the app becomes a personal record of the places you keep returning to.
